Tooth Extractions

DENTAL EXTRACTIONS , which involves removal of a tooth, would preferably be the last treatment option advised by us. Extraction of teeth is inevitable if there is extensive damage to a tooth or if it is periodontically compromised. At times, extraction can also be advised to improve appearance, like in orthodontic treatment; or cracks in the roots of the teeth.
Before extraction, your general medical health would be taken into consideration. At times, a consent from your GP could be required. An x-ray is advised before the extraction to check for the anatomy of the tooth and its associated structures. The extractions can either be done under local anasthesia, conscious sedation, or at times, even under general anasthesia. We may refer you to an oral surgeon for difficult extractions. The necessary post-operative home care instructions would be explained in detail and also given in writing to take home.
