Ceramic Veneers
VENEERS are thin, tooth-coloured ceramic shells that are bonded to the front surface of teeth. They are the most conservative treatment for treating discoloured, chipped, misaligned (slight), or deformed teeth. Veneers can also be used to close gaps on the front teeth.
The procedure normally requires two or three hours, depending on the number of teeth to be treated. After the complete analysis of your smile and your approval of the mock-up, we will remove a thin layer from the surface of the teeth to be treated. This may be require little, or no anasthesia. An impression of the prepared teeth is then taken and sent to a dental ceramist, who will craft the veneers. The prepared teeth are restored temporarly, until the final veneers are received from the ceramist. On the day of bonding these veneers to the teeth, we will first check for the colour and fit. After your approval, the skillfully crafted veneers will be chemically bonded to the teeth. This is followed by polishing and finishing of the veneers.
